The Kent Synchro competition was held at Kingsmead Leisure Centre in Canterbury on 24 June in boiling hot conditions! Well done to all swimmers and officials who stayed the course, all day poolside! Particular thanks to Steve Fuller from Witney who was a fabulous referee as always.
150+ junior swimmers entered. Swimmers represented all five Kent clubs (Erith&District, Faversham, Hythe Aqua, Medway Mermaids and Sevenoaks) and two invited clubs (Henley and Witney). Swimmers at all levels, from novice to nationals qualifiers, did their clubs proud!
All swimmers competed in the figures competition in the morning, and then in the routine competition in the afternoon. Friends and families particularly enjoyed the combination teams in the afternoon which showcased a variety of styles of music which the swimmers clearly loved swimming to. All clubs were supportive of each other and showed their appreciation of all routines, which was lovely to see.
John Handley, KCASA President, attended the afternoon session with his wife and kindly presented the medals.
