Funding and back-to-the pool support
We are only too aware of the issues as clubs struggle to get up-and-running at the same levels as before Covid-19 closed down our clubs and pools. As a county, we are working on providing grants to all our affiliated clubs to be used for initiatives to increase membership and get as many people back, enjoying themselves in the water, as possible.
The County and the regions are offering practical support and guidance as follows:
- Club finances: Alan Davidson
- Employment issues: John Handley
- General club support: Ben McDonald (South East) and Yvonne Stead (London)
... and, of course, there is a good amount of information on the Swim England website on returning to sport.
In the meantime we have collated links to funding opportunities available ... word has it that there is quite a bit of funding available if you know where to look and how to apply for it. There are some useful links below.
Finally, watch this space for details of how the county can help you!
Kent Rural clubs can apply for a Bursary for selected courses and workshops. Please note that they must be applied for before registering. Full details are on the Swim South East website. There is also a full list of funding opportunities available here.
Kent London Clubs can apply for similar Bursary - ensure you check the details carefully. Again, there is also a full list of funding opportunities available here.
City of Milton Keynes SC has written a very useful 'crowdfunding crib sheet' which can be downloaded here - I am sure you appreciate the hard work that has obviously gone into producing it!
Do you need financial support to improve your facilities, increase your membership, deliver a new sports project, train up coaches or officials or to help with your training? If yes, then visit the Kent Sport website by clicking on the links below.
