VOLUNTEER SUPPORT
Volunteer help needed
As you know from your own galas one needs a number of helpers to enable the Meet to run smoothly. At the County Championships Clubs have volunteered to provide helpers for each whole day of the Championships but I am hoping that if each Club with a substantial number of entries can put forward 2/3 people each to fill the volunteer gaps we will not need to go down that road. If we do not fill the gaps by Wednesday 23 October then I will be approaching the Clubs with a requirement for a given number of helpers each. The roles are either for a limited time mostly whilst swimming is not taking place or have full view of the swimming from the balcony or on poolside.
We will need the following:
Saturday Session 1 | Sunday Session 2 | Sunday Session 3
3 x Marshalls | 3 x Marshalls | 3 x Marshalls
2 x Door entry | 2 x Door entry | 2 x Door entry
2 x Runners | 2 x Runners | 2 x Runners
2 x Medals table | 2 x Medals table | 2 x Medals table
2 x Sweets | 2 x Sweets | 2 x Sweets
1 x Tea/coffee for officials in | 1 x Coach as warm-up Marshall | 1 x Coach as warm-up Marshall
Conference Room | Total 12 people | Total 12 people

Total 13 people |
Any person acting as volunteer at any of the sessions will be given a spectator pass for all sessions they are attending so please volunteer before you apply for a ticket - applications will be take on a first come first served basis.
Please let me know if you can help us as soon as possible either directly or via your Club, and many thanks to those who have already volunteered - and in anticipation!

Kent Junior Meet - 26/27 October 2024 at Medway Park, Gillingham - Licence number 3SE241039
The Kent Junior Meet is a developmental meet for swimmers. Our aim is to encourage those swimmers who did not make the County Championships earlier this year entrants and give more swimmers a chance to win a Kent Medal.
As a result there will continue to be restriction on swimmers who achieved acceptance for an individual entry in the main County Championships (held in January/February 2024). In that case the swimmer will not be eligible to enter that specific stroke and specific distance at the Junior Meet (eg: If he/she was accepted for the 50m freestyle he/she could not enter the 50m freestyle at the Kent Junior Meet but would still be able to enter the 100m Freestyle (subject to the upper limit times).
In addition, although no-time entries will not be accepted, we will accept times recorded at club time trials under the conditions set in the Meet Conditions to encourage those swimmers particularly in the youngest age group who might not have had the opportunity to record times at Licensed Meets before the entry deadline.
- Age Groups with age as at 31 December 2024
- 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 years
- 10-16 years for swimmers with a classification category
A poolside pass must be arranged in advance to access poolside - the 2024 County Championship passes are still valid.
The following documents are now available:
- Conditions
- Upper Limit Times
- Event Programme
- Consolidated Summary of Entries (including individual entry for Para swimmers)
- Coach/Team Manager/Chaperone Pass
- SportSystems Entry File
Have a great summer!
