Overview and additional information

County Development Programme October 2025 – August 2026

You have been selected to attend the Swim England Kent County Development Programme (CDP) for 2025-2026.

The CDP will provide you with an opportunity to receive support, be inspired and connect with a cohort of young swimmers from your county, in your joint quest to improve as swimmers.

Please read this letter in full and then complete the online application using this link, by 31 August 2025. If you cannot attend, please advise me as quickly as possible so that we can offer a place to the next swimmer on our reserve list.

Important: This is a Swim England programme which the County administers, and which is the first step of the Swim England National Talent Pathway. These camps take precedence over ALL other swimming commitments. Please consult with your home coach with regards to any potential clashes. Any non-attendance will be reported to Swim England and may impact on future selections.

The Head Coach of your club has been informed of your selection.

We are requesting a contribution of £85.00 towards the cost of the programme and which will be used to directly cover staffing and facility costs. Payment can be made using the online payment form.

Prior to completing your acceptance of this invitation, please read the information below as, by accepting your place on the programme, you are also confirming your acceptance of these conditions.

  1. As mentioned above, this is a County led programme which underpins the Swim England National Talent Pathway and takes precedence over other swimming activity that may clash with either camp date. Anyone who confirms their attendance and then misses part of the programme may be excluded from further programme activities or future selections. Should you have to miss an activity through medical reasons, it is recommended that a doctor’s note is forwarded to the programme lead which will be appropriately recorded.
  2. We are currently awaiting updated documents from Swim England, but past experience indicates that upon acceptance to the CDP you will be required to access the CDP Induction Package which has resources supplied by the Swim England Talent Team. We will provide you access to this induction package in due course. Alternatively, we will advise you of what Swim England provide, expect you to access and how to do so.

Each swimmer is requested to bring the following equipment to each camp:

  • swimming kit (hat/goggles/swimwear, plus spares of everything)
  • land training kit (no fashion trainers)
  • short blade fins (if used in your home programme)
  • small kick board/pull-buoy
  • snorkel (if used in your home programme)
  • pen and paper for taking notes
  • suitable food and drink for the entire day - food is not provided nor accessible. Please ensure that no food contains nuts.

Please note that we cannot process any applications without all of the required documentation and payment as outlined below:
