URGENT Information Update - 2024 Kent County Swimming Championships Long Distance events
17th November 2023
Our time at K2 Crawley is limited as we can only secure two evenings to run these. As a result we will be limiting the 800m freestyle to 120 swimmers and the 1500m freestyle to 64 swimmers. In order to give swimmers across all age groups the opportunity to compete in Championship events please note the following:
- There will be no automatic times. Please ignore those previously published for all purposes.
- The consideration times remain in place and unchanged. The updated Qualifying Times schedule is now on the Championship page of the website.
- In the 800m freestyle swimmers who shall have achieved a consideration time shall be considered for acceptance initially up to a maximum of 10 per age group per gender – the fastest entries shall be accepted first
- In the 1500m freestyle swimmers who shall have achieved a consideration time shall be considered for acceptance initially up to a maximum of 5 per age group per gender – the fastest entries shall be accepted first
- Should there be an insufficient number of entries that have achieved the consideration time in any age group the unused number of spaces will be subject to being back filled
The full terms are set out in the Conditions which will be published shortly. We would still continue to advise all swimmers with a consideration time to enter these events. Entry fees are only payable on acceptance.
