The David Sparkes OBE Innovation Award

Do you know a group or individual who has come up with and implemented a pioneering idea in the world of swimming?

The ASA has launched a new award, the David Sparkes OBE Innovation Award. It has been created to highlight innovation in the aquatics industry which recognises an idea that has come to fruition and proven to make a huge difference.

There are no set criteria, the innovation simply has to be new and have contributed in some significant way to swimming and aquatics. It is open to anyone including groups, clubs, counties, regions, companies or individuals.

Submissions must be made by the 15 July in the year of the award and it will be assessed by a panel of three judges. There must be evidence of the innovation delivering its aims and not just be an idea.

The winner will be presented with a cheque for £1,000 at the annual ASA Awards.
