Technical Officials and DBS Checks

I have been asked to pass this message onto you all:

“Swimming Technical Officials are not required to have DBS checks undertaken for normal poolside duties, unless they are Swim England ‘approved’ Swimming Technical Officials Trainers/Tutors. Any such person has to be approved by the Regional Co-ordinator and appropriate agreement/DBS application certified.

Any other DBS checks must be undertaken by the club and guidance on ‘non-Swim England’ approvals, as issued by the Swim England DBS & Services Manager. “

Can you also please make sure that ALL your Coaches are DBS checked and up to date.
