New Kent Swimming support appointments!
31st July 2025
Following an open recruitment process, I am delighted to let you know that Kent Swimming has secured the services of two individuals to undertake the following roles as of 1 August 2025.
Firstly, we welcome Matt Clapson, who joins us as KCASA Administration Manager. Matt's primary role will be administrative support to members of the KCASA Executive and to various discipline and other managers. His role will see him working an average of eight hours per week. However, please note that Matt will not be working every day and, if you are getting in touch, responses will not always be immediate.
Matt's e-mail address will be: administration.manager@kentswimming.org
We also welcome Nathan Friend, who joins us as KCASA Events Manager. Nathan's role will see him working on behalf of the Kent Executive directly with various discipline managers to deliver the Swimming, Masters and Artistic Swimming Championships, the Swim England Inter-County Swimming and Masters Team Championships, along with the Kent Junior Meet. His role will see him working an estimated ten weeks over the year. Again, please note that Nathan will not be working regularly throughout the year but focused around the event periods and, if you are getting in touch, responses will not always be immediate.
Nathan's e-mail address will be events.manager@kentswimming.org
Kent Swimming will continue to be a volunteer-led organisation. The employment of individuals to these roles is an important and exciting time for all those who give their time to support aquatic disciplines in our county. We firmly believe that the work to be undertaken by Matt and Nathan will give our amazing team of volunteers the support needed to continue to make Kent Swimming one of best counties in the country for all our aquatic disciplines.
I am sure you will join me in welcoming Matt and Nathan to the team, and it goes without saying that I wish them the very best in their new roles.
John Burdett - KCASA Chair
