Kent Water Polo Ladies Cup 2017

Saturday night (18 March 2017) was the first Ladies Cup tournament for Kent clubs. This has been in the planned for many years including the launch of a new Bexley ladies team. It is fair to say it was a great success with over 30 ladies taking part.
Players were representing six clubs in total:
- Faversham
- Hythe
- Bexley
- Monson
- Sevenoaks
- Beckenham
The first game was Bexley vs Hythe/Faversham. With Bexley scoring first and staying in front ending the game 8-3.
The second game was Bexley vs Beckenham/Sevenoaks/ Monson. Despite Bexley scoring first, Beckenham/Sevenoaks/ Monson came back fighting to win the game 5-1
The third and final game was Beckenham/Sevenoaks/Monson vs Faversham/Hythe. It was a great game to end the evening, with a 7-2 to Beckenham/Sevenoaks/Monson win.
The winners were:
- Beckenham/Sevenoaks/Monson
- Bexley
- Faversham/ Hythe
The evening was a great success with live tweeting from the Kent ASA Water Polo twitter account throughout the evening. Thanks goes to the Refs and Paul for hard work for organising the event over the past few years to get it off the floor and running.
