Kent Diver Wins Junior European Championships / Norway

Kent Diver, Eden Cheng (14), Wins Junior European Championships In Bergen, Norway.
Kent diver Eden Cheng from Crystal Palace put in a record breaking performance of 361.30 points to win by 20.35 pts over Ukraine’s Sofiia Lyskun (340.95) with third going to Russia’s Irina Astashkina in the girls under sixteen 10 metre platform event.
Eden, is coached by Lin Chen, China’s first world champion (1986) who coached Olympic Champion, Li Na.
Chris Snode, President of Diving at Crystal Palace said, this has been a terrific week for out Team. First we picked up a European Bronze with Louise Bradley (15 / Bromley Kent) 3rd on the 1 metre board earlier in the week and then Eden won Britain’s only gold so far in Norway with her performance on the 10 metre, with that massive 20 point lead over the Russians and Ukrainians.
Eden Cheng’s win is the seventh Junior European Title won by divers talent tested and developed at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in the last ten years.
