Kent Development Meet 2022

28th June 2022

22/23 October 2022 - Medway Park Gillingham - to be licensed at level 3

All the great swimmers start with the grass roots of the sport, and that starts with events like the County Development Meet. We have kept a similar format to last year namely 50s and 100s for all strokes and 200m IM. There will be 3 sessions Saturday pm, Sunday am and pm.

Our aim is to encourage more entrants and give more swimmers a chance to win a Kent Medal. Where a swimmer achieved acceptance for an individual entry in the main County Championships (held in January/February 2022) he/she will not be eligible to enter that specific stroke and specific distance at the Development Meet (e.g. If he/she were accepted for the 50m freestyle he/she could not enter the 50m freestyle at the Development Meet but would still be able to enter the 100m Freestyle (subject to the upper limit times))

Age Groups with age as at 31 December:

  • 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 years
  • 10-16 years for swimmers with a classification category

A poolside pass must be arranged in advance to access poolside. The 2022 County Championship passes are still valid.

The following documents will be published in due course:

  • Conditions
  • Upper Limit Times
  • Event Programme
  • Individual entry form - para swimmers
  • Summary entry
  • Sportsystems Entry file
  • Guide to using Sportsystems

Have a great summer!
