Kent Development Meet 2019

All the great swimmers start with the grass roots of the sport, and that starts with events like the County Development Meet. We have kept a similar format to that of 2018 with the only changes being to remove the relays.

Our aim is to encourage more entrants and give more swimmers a chance to win a Kent Medal. As the title says it is a development meet, so county qualifiers can't enter swims for which they have obtained a 2019 Championship consideration time. NB: they can enter events that they have not achieved times for.

Also, we have added a points table to enable selection for the Kent Development Camp in 2020. (See conditions for full details). Please make sure your swimmers pick events that will give them points in all categories. To help spread entries swimmers can enter a maximum of 6 events.

As last year, you must have a poolside pass arranged in advance to be poolside. The 2019 County Championship passes are still valid.

The County Championships preparations are well under way however, before publishing the details, we are seeking clarification from Swim Wngland regarding particular elements of the conditions. We will publish to all as soon as finalized.

The dates in 2020 are:

  • Jan 18/19 - London Aquatic Centre
  • Jan 25/26 - London Aquaticc Centre
  • Feb 1/2 - Crystal Palace
