Kent County Open Water Championships 2026 - Dates and Locations

1st April 2026

This year the Kent Swimming Association will hold its Open Water Swimming Championship, for the first time in several years as two separate events within the London and South-East Open Water Swimming championships. These events are used by the regions as national qualifier events for age group swimmers.

The Kent ‘London’ OW swimming championships will be held within the London Open Water Championships being held at the Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre on Sunday 5th July.

The Kent ‘Rural’ OW swimming championships will be held within the South East Open Water Championship being held at Mercers Park, Redhill on the 28th June.

The Events have 2km, 3km and 5km races. Championship medals will be awarded to age group and master swimmers and there will also be Junior medals for the fastest under 16 in the 3km race and senior medals for the fastest 16 and over in the 5km race.

In order to be eligible for Kent medals in either event, the swimmers must be from a Kent Club which is also within that region. There is no need to enter for the Kent Championship separately - a list of results for the eligible Kent swimmers will be compiled on the day and medals awarded.

The entry link for the two events will be at the following links:
