KCASA Affiliation Fees

Further to the recommendation approved at the KCASA ACM in May this year, this is to confirm that we will be collecting affiliation fees of £1.00 for all Category 1 and Category 2 with effect from January 2019.

As a reminder, the rationale behind this decision - as described in the Annual Report - was to ensure that funds are available to allow the Management Committee to continue to develop all areas of aquatics in the County. We have previously done so by way of the entry fees for the County Swimming Championships, but it was felt that this is asking the elite swimmers - or more to the point, their parents - to dig deeper into their pockets each year, and it seemed unreasonable to continue to demand more and more money from this same pool of athletes rather than spreading it across the range.

This will enable us to arrange development opportunities across all the disciplines and across the whole county, which has got to be a good thing!
