Kent's 'back-to-the-pool' support for our clubs

We have just circulated details of our 'back-to-the-pool' grant scheme to club secretaries, and which we hope will go a little way towards helping our clubs return to a more normal situation, especially with over 18's imminently being allowed back into training.

There is no application procedure - the value of the grant is based on £2.00 for each club's number of Swim England Category 1 and 2 members as at 1 April 2021, with a minimum value of £100.00.

The only restrictions are that:

• the grant is not for use for routine pool hire costs or wages
• 'multi-club' clubs will only receive a grant that reflects the number of Category 1 and 2 registration fees they paid 
• suspended clubs or those registering nil Category 1 and 2 members will not be eligible

We already know that some clubs have been innovative in attracting new members, such as running taster sessions for new members, fun activities and Masters night-time outdoor training sessions, and we are sure that there have been other exciting projects going on.  All we ask is that you use the grant imaginatively, and let us know how well it worked for your club.
