Junior Water Polo minipolo and development sessions start at Strood on 13 February

29th February 2016

Strood are setting up a new mini-polo session and have also agreed to host the new Kent Development sessions.

These sessions are aiming to provide better coaching to all of our junior players in Kent by giving them more focused sessions with a greater number of players of similar ability.

Over time these sessions will then be used as selection for county teams and training leading up to tournaments.

Our Secondary aim is to improve the level of coaching in Kent so we'd love to have as many of you along to help so that we can all take some new ideas and enthusiasm back to our Clubs

Sessions will be alternate Saturday evenings, Strood's mini-polo session will run 18.00 to 18.45 and the Kent Development Session will run 18.45 to 20.30. We have agreed to help them with coaching their mini-polo session to begin with whilst we train up their own coaches.

Please could any coaches that would be interested in assisting please get in touch. We are aiming to start on 13 February 2016 pending the delivery of equipment to the pool.

Please could you let me know if you are interested in helping with mini-polo, the Development Session or both and if you can make the first session on 13 February and the week after, 27 February.

Once the date is confirmed we will send an email round to players as well.

I look forward to hearing from you, there is a lot of excitement from the clubs and coaches involved already and we would love as many of you to be involved in this as possible.

Many thanks

Tom McDonald
