Fred was the co-founder and President of Invicta Water Polo Club, a stalwart of the English Water Polo club game and an inspiration to a generation of players and volunteers in Kent Water Polo and beyond.
His water polo loves were Bexley WPC and Invicta. In addition, Fred was a driving force behind the development of Kent water polo serving as Kent water polo manager for many years as well as being the Kent President in 1998.
Many Invicta players will remember Fredís legendary newsletters particularly in the days of home and away fixtures. He often used to say he was Britainís greatest ever uncapped goalkeeper, and we can all vouch that he was an imposing figure between the sticks. Anyone who has played for or been associated with Invicta owes a great deal to Fred as his hard work and support has enabled the players to play at the highest level in GB.
