Do You Want to Upskill Your Volunteers in AOE Operation And Meet Management?
27th April 2026
In order to enable clubs to run more open meets, and to create a pool of trusted, knowledgeable AOE and Meet Management Operators for running Kent County Championship events, Kent Swimming is investigating the possibility of running an afternoon of training in popular AOE systems, as well as HyTek Meet Manager and SportSystems, the two most common meet management softwares. Led by local experts with over 7 years of experience, the day would cover the essentials of operating AOE systems effectively for technical officials and running meet management software on the day for open meets.
Clubs are encouraged to submit an expression of interest by 9th May 2026 to Nathan Friend at events.manager@kentswimming.org, along with any information on particular skills that would be useful to be taught on the day. This will enable us to determine the demand and scope of the training session.
We would also like to know if officials (of any level, not just Referees/J2S) would be interested in attending, to either support other attendees with their perspective on AOE or to learn how these systems work. If so, please contact Nathan at the email above.
Should the day go ahead, we aim to host in a central Kent location in September on a weekend, and clubs who have responded will get priority to sign up their volunteers before a public announcement is made.
