Head Coach of Swimming and Modern Pentathlon
Ashford School runs an extensive competitive Swimming and Modern Sports Programme that utilises both its swimming pools and other sporting facilities on its sites in Ashford. The school is looking to extend its programme further and is restructuring its coaching approach.
The school is looking for experienced Swimming and Biathlon Coach to join their friendly and professional team in October 2021, the coach would be expected to lead the Schools Competitive Swimming and Modern Pentathlon Squads, developing the programmes for the individual disciplines, and devising a programme that enables Ashford Schools pupils to reach their full potential in their chosen competitive area. The successful candidate should have a strong background in swimming and multi sports, be motivational, have strong communication skills and have a vision to move the schools' programmes forward. The coach would work within the PE department and alongside the schools swimming programme. The successful candidate would be expected to be fully immersed in school life.
Pre-requisites for the post include:
- Level 2 coaching Swimming Qualification or ability to pass the qualification within 6 months
- Lifesaving or Teachers Rescue Qualification or ability to pass the qualification within 6 months
- Five years’ experience coaching in a club or school environment
- First Aid qualification or the ability to pass the qualification within 6 months
Desirables
- Modern Pentathlon Coach Level 2 or above
- Level 3 Coaching Swimming Qualification
- Fencing Coach Level 1 or above
- Athletics coach Level 1 or above
- Range Officer
- Shooting experience
- Equestrian experience

Rate of Pay: Competitive
