The entries are now flooding in. Entries per club are significantly up on last year, so please don't be late as there won't be any scope for late entries. Every entry in on time will be considered in the normal way.
If your swimmers have times please include them, although we accept NT's, they are the ones that are first in the queue to be refunded, if we are oversubscribed. It looks like it will be a highly competitive gala for the county's development level swimmers.
If you aren't the correct recipient, please let me know and we can update the address list. Also please forward to whoever is responsible for gala entries at your club.
All the great swimmers start with the grassroots of the sport, and that starts with events like the County Development Meet. We have kept a similar format to that of 2018. The only changes being to remove the relays.
Our aim is to encourage more entrants and give more swimmers a chance to win a Kent Medal. As the title says it is a development meet, so county qualifiers can't enter swims for which they have obtained a championship's 2019 consideration time. Note they can enter events that they have not achieved times for.
Also, we have added a points table to enable selection for the Kent Development
Camp in 2020. (See conditions for full details). Please make sure your swimmers pick
events that will give them points in all categories to qualify for points.
To help spread entries swimmers can enter a maximum of 6 events.
As last year you must have a poolside pass arranged in advance to be poolside. The 2019 County Championship passes are still valid. All the relevant documents are below:
