Further details of the event can be found at http://www.swimming.org/calendar/all/swim-england-national-open-water-festival-2018/

Breakfast and prearranged evening meals are included within the room booking for all event volunteers staying overnight at Holiday Inn Rotherham Sheffield.

Lunch will be provided at the venue.  Meal expenses will not be payable if volunteers decide to eat elsewhere.

Mileage is reimbursed at 45 pence per mile.  Standard class public transport will be reimbursed on presentation of a receipt for the purchase.

Volunteers staying overnight in the hotel provided will be reimbursed for one return journey from their home address.  Volunteers staying at the hotel will be able to claim 8 miles to/from the hotel to the venue. Please car share between the venue and hotel where possible.

Volunteers travelling daily to the venue will be reimbursed for one return journey per day of volunteering.

Calculating mileage should be done on a ‘Google maps fastest route’ basis unless we are informed otherwise.

All expenses will be paid post event by BACS.

If you have not previously notified Swim England of your bank details, please have them in your possession to complete your expenses claim form.  A copy of the Expenses Form will be emailed to all event volunteers with the Event Manual and additional hard copies will also be made available at the event.

At the end of the event, expenses may be submitted to the Events Officer on site or alternatively these can also be posted to the Events Team, marked for the attention of the Events Officer.

Receipts must be submitted with all expenses being claimed, except mileage. Expenses will only be reimbursed subject to the value of the itemised receipts.

Whilst not compulsory, Swim England would like to encourage room sharing where possible. Please indicate on your application if you would be willing to share and if you have a preferred room-mate.

Please ensure that the second page of the application detailing your previous officiating experience is also completed and returned.

The closing date for applications is Friday 18th May 2018.
