Applications are now open to officiate at the Sainsbury's 2015 School Games on 5/6 Sept at Manchester

Applications are invited from Licensed Swimming Officials to officiate at the Sainsbury’s 2015 School Games, to be held on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September at Manchester Aquatics Centre, Manchester.

Event: Sainsbury’s 2015 School Games

Location: Manchester Aquatics Centre

Date: Saturday 5th September and Sunday 6th September

Time: Sessions begin at 10am on Saturday and Sunday and are likely to conclude at 1.30pm.

Accommodation: Accommodation will be available for all officials living more than 30 miles or 45 minutes travelling time from the venue who are able to volunteer for both days. As this event is not entirely organised by the ASA there are a mix of twin and single rooms, in your response please indicate whether you would/wouldn’t be happy to share a room.

Food and Drink: Breakfast and dinner will be provided for those at the hotel. Other meals and snacks will be provided at the venue

Travel: Bus/Train/Air/Sea - standard/economy class will be reimbursed upon presentation of receipts/tickets/email booking.

Mileage - Mileage rate is likely to be 30p per mile- the number of miles claimed is the shortest distance from the home address to the event venue/hotel.

Officials living less than 30 mile or 45 minutes travelling time away will receive travel expenses for each day of attendance and those provided with accommodation will receive travel expenses paid for one return journey.

Parking - there will be a maximum reimbursement for car parking expenses, this will match the cost of the allocated car park which will be close to the venue.

Licensed: Minimum Judge Level 1 - preferred qualified as Judge Level 2

Safeguarding: As in previous years officials will be required to attend a Safeguarding workshop (Sports Coach UK Safeguarding and Protecting Children) - in your response please indicate if you have previously attended and the year you attended. We will arrange a workshop for those who haven’t attended previously.

Note: We welcome applications from all ages, we will be looking to appoint a number of young officials.
