Orpington Ojays are seeking a Level 2 Swimming Teacher for their Learn to Swim Provision

Orpington Ojays Learn to Swim school are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and organised Level 2 Swimming Teacher. Your primary role will be to teach children between the ages of 4 and 10 years; developing their swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water at our Learn to Swim Provision in Orpington, Kent.
Expectations:
- To be a positive role model, creating a fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children
- To plan and deliver 30-minute lessons appropriate to the level of the class
- Identify swimmers abilities and encourage them to reach their full potential
- Provide explanations and demonstrate swimming techniques
- Ensure safe provision of all equipment and that it is used correctly
- Make sure safety standards are followed in sessions and follow the appropriate risk assessments
- Regularly assess each swimmers
- Ability and progress and feedback accordingly in line with the ASA Learn to Swim Stages.
- To agree to abide by Orpington Ojays Swimming Club, code of conduct and relevant policies

- An understanding of how to differentiate in a teaching session

Essential Qualifications:
- Enhanced DBS checked
- Level 2 Swimming Teacher or equivalent
- Valid National Reach Rescue Award/National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
Note:
- The successful application will be responsible for the closure and lock up of the facility at the end of the session.
Hours:
- Saturday 8:45 to 12:15
