The Sport and Recreation Alliance are accepting nominations for their annual awards, which recognise recreational organisations, bodies and clubs for the work they do in their communities – and there are cash prizes up for grabs!
There are six categories for nominations covering the breadth of work that is done in the community, and prizes will be awarded for the following:
1. Volunteer Management - £1,000
2. School Links - £1,000
3. Professional Club Community Project of the Year Award - £1,000
4. Green Thinking - £1,000
5. Innovative Project Award - £1,000
6. An Overall Community Sport and Recreation winner who will scoop a cash prize of £2,500!
The nomination process is very simple – interested clubs just need to visit the Sport and Recreation Alliance website where you will find details and a criteria for each of the awards and an on-line nomination form that you then need to complete.
The application form is limited to 500 words, however feel free to link to any supporting evidence you may have – be that a video, website or other link – include as much as you can to showcase the great work that you do!
Clubs can apply for as many categories as you wish – but only one nomination per club per category is allowed. Clubs cannot apply for an award if they were a winner in that category in the 2013 Awards. Full terms and conditions can be found here.
The deadline for nominations is 5pm on Sunday 4 May, and winners will be presented at an awards ceremony on 9 July 2014 at St James’s Palace London, by HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.
