Applications open to officiate at the 2016 ASA National Summer Meet

6th May 2016

Applications are now open to officiate at the 2016 ASA National Summer Meet, to be held from Monday 1st to Friday 5th August 2016 (inclusive) at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield.

All applicants must be qualified at least to Judge Level 1 and must possess a valid official’s licence.

Further details of the event can be found at http://www.swimming.org/asa/calendar/asa-national-summer-championships-50m-2016

Please note that appointments are made on a daily, not sessional, basis and you may be required to undertake any role for which you are qualified.

Whilst not compulsory, the ASA encourage room sharing at national events. By opting to room share accommodation costs are reduced, which greatly helps in the operation and provision of a high class event for our competitors.

Please indicate on your application if you are happy to be allocated a twin room and, if applicable, include the name of the person you would like to room share with. If you indicate that you are happy to share but no second person is named then you will be allocated a twin room with a person of the same gender.

For this event:

  • Accommodation will be at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria, Sheffield on a bed and breakfast basis.
  • Accommodation will be provided from the night prior to the first day of appointment until the final day of appointment.
  • Accommodation for the night following the final day of appointment will be subject to the event finish time and travelling time of the individual, in accordance with ASA policy.
  • Lunch will be provided at the venue.
  • A daily subsistence allowance of £15 will be paid for each full day of attendance.

Please complete the attached form and return it to me by post or to helen.akers@swimming.org before Friday 6th May 2016 if you wish to be considered for this event. If you are applying for your first National event, please ensure that you also complete and return the attached supplementary form.
